Sandra Dalka-Prysby
Sandra Dalka-Prysby is a 62 year-young wife, mother of three and recent first-time grandmother from Beverly Hills, Michigan. “I’m not sure what was more emotional this past year—becoming a grandma or applying for Social Security!” A writer for most of her life—“I started by writing poetry at age six”—she earned a degree in mass communications and journalism and began her professional career as a newspaper reporter. She has freelanced for a number of publications for the past 30 years, including Family Circle and Fitness magazines.
After losing 170 pounds following a three-year journey of healthy eating and exercise, Sandra wrote the book Slow But Sure, which was published in hardcover by Doubleday in 1999; in paperback by Signet, 2001. In 1998, she became certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant. Currently, in addition to her writing career, she is a motivational speaker who has helped thousands of women of all ages succeed in their health and fitness goals.

Looking forward to Sandy's learning experiences. Either I will identify with the experience or use it as to avoid having to try that myself.
