A Great Deal?!
Damn! It happened again!
Last night my friend told me her daughter got a car just like mine at a price that was $50 less a month than what I am paying for my new leased vehicle. If that information wasn’t bad enough, my friend informed me that her daughter was able “to buy her car!” With just $1,000 down—I could have come up with that amount of money—this exactly-the-same-car driver BOUGHT her car. I’m stuck with a 36-month lease and 36 months of watching my mileage. This just doesn’t seem right! (Of course, I’ve learned the hard way many, many times over the years that I tend to end on the wrong side of “right” situations!)
Up until 8:30 p.m. last night I was riding high. I got my new leased vehicle at a great price and $32 less than the price of this same model of my former leased car. I had done my research and made all the calls to assure a deal. I had every discount available. I felt that I was a smart negotiator.
